Every Saturday for the last 16 years , we provide weekly groceries and food supplies for over two thousand families in need at Astor Place Community Garden located at 103 Astor Place (at the corner of Monticello Avenue) Jersey City, NJ 07304.
Starting September 1, 2020, ASTOR will distribute free masks and PPE to over 25,000 Americans nationwide across the next 3 months. Children, Senior Citizens, Parents, Educators, front line staff and families in need will receive the COVID-19 care package for free with no cost to them.
PPE Care Package
6.9 Million Americans have tested positive for Covid-19 with over 200,000 Americans dead. Covid-19 has once again raised the scepter of race inequality in America with over 60% of COVID-19 deaths among Americans coming from the African- American / Hispanic Latino families. CDC projects another 120,000 deaths as we approach the flu, fall, and winter season with the potential to save 70,000 lives if there is a nationwide mask mandate. ASTOR is undertaking a national campaign to provide a 3 months PPE care package free of cost children, parents, senior citizens, teachers, and other front line employees who are at high risk.
A donation of $ 300 will provide 3 months of PPE supplies for 5 children/adults and keep them safe through the flu, fall, and winter season.
